The Fit For Christ Challenge combines teachings on faith and endurance training. We will train for several walking and running races and events during our upcoming season, including 5Ks and 10Ks. We will also meet for running & walking on Saturdays.
Participants will be grouped according to experience, ability, and whether they are walkers or runners. There will be both one-on-one coaching and group training. Each workout will include prayer, a Bible study and devotional, a teaching point about running, and a workout session including warmup, stretching, and cooldown. We also will have team dietary guidance provided by expert nutritionists.
Your lead coaches for Fit For Christ are Pastor Wally, Soti Collado & Daniel Cardona. No previous running or walking experience is required.
Psalm 35:9-10 [MSG] states, ‘But let me run loose and free, celebrating God’s great work, every bone in my body laughing, singing, ‘God, there’s no one like you. You put the down-and-out on their feet and protect the unprotected from bullies!”’
NOTE: This is a CO-ED GROUP that meets in person. Midweek meetings and workouts will meet at the Reach White Plains Campus. Additional weekend coach-led workouts will take place on Saturdays at the Kensico Dam or SUNY Purchase at 7AM.
