WHAT ARE REACH GROUPS?  REACH GROUPS are small groups of people doing life together by meeting weekly over the course of a semester. They last about 60-90 minutes and meet on various days & times. They can meet on the church campus, in a home, at a diner – the possibilities are endless! We also have an online prayer group that meets through the ZOOM video conference platform. REACH GROUPS provide an opportunity to go deeper – learning and living gospel truth.

REACH CHURCH offers many opportunities to connect with others throughout the week and build relationships. We’re meant to navigate life together!

DO I NEED TO PURCHASE A BOOK? Book purchases are recommended for some REACH GROUPS, but they are not required. Participants can purchase a class book by following the links provided on our website. WEDNESDAY MORNING GROUPS

BEGINS APR 3RD – 6 SESSIONS

IT’S NOT SUPPOSED TO BE THIS WAY

WED @ 10AM
WOMEN’S GROUP

Facilitator:

Tarsha Gibbons

Class Description

What do you do when God’s timing seems questionable, His lack of intervention hurtful and His promises doubtful? Life often looks so very different than we hoped or expected. Some events may simply catch us off guard for a moment, but others shatter us completely. We feel disappointed and disillusioned and we quietly start to wonder about the reality of God’s goodness. However, our disappointments can be the divine appointments our souls need to radically encounter God.

In this group study, we will take a journey of faith as we 1) learn to stop being pulled into the anxiety of disappointment by discovering how to better process unmet expectations and other painful situations, 2) train ourselves to recognize the three strategies of the enemy, so we can stand strong and persevere through unsettling relationships and uncertain outcomes, 3) discover the secret of being steadfast and not panicking when God actually does give us more than we can handle and 4) shift our suspicion that God is cruel or unfair to the biblical assurance that God is protecting and preparing us.

Ladies, let’s pull up a chair, grab a cup of tea and grow in our intimacy with the lover of our souls; Jesus!

NOTE: This is a WOMEN’S GROUP that meets in person at 10AM on the church campus; a great option for women with morning availability!

EPHESIANS: YOUR IDENTITY IN CHRIST

WED @ 7PM
CO-ED GROUP

Facilitator:

Noelle Harrison

Class Description

LIVE YOUR IDENTITY IN CHRIST!

Ephesians is one of the New Testament’s shortest books in terms of word count-only 6 chapters and 155 verses-it is perhaps the most applicable to today’s culture. In addition to the divine beauty and power of Ephesians, this epistle also provides Paul’s most direct address about the life of a disciple of Jesus. Paul conveyed his pastoral heart for the Ephesian believers by focusing on who they were in Christ. Specifically he addressed issues related to their new life, the community of believers, the pursuits of unity and holiness, and life’s challenges.

THE GOD I NEVER KNEW

WED @ 7PM
WOMEN’S GROUP

Facilitator:

Pastor Caren

Class Description

Did you know that if you have received Jesus as your Lord and Savior, you have someone living inside you who knows everything?

The Holy Spirit can be misinterpreted as confusing, controversial, and weird. People often see the Holy Spirit as an “it” and don’t believe Him to be a person who can be understood and welcomed. The Holy Spirit wants to have a relationship with you. He has committed Himself to be your teacher, comforter, and guide.

In this six-session Robert Morris study, we’re going to take a closer look at the Holy Spirit. We’re going to talk about Who He is, the Day of Pentecost, the Gifts of the Holy Spirit, the Baptism in the Holy Spirit, as well as Speaking in Tongues. And, together, we’re going to learn to embrace EVERYTHING He has for us!

NOTE: This is a WOMEN’S GROUP that meets in person at 7PM on the church campus.

AN INTRODUCTION TO THE HOLY SPIRIT

THURS @ 7PM
FOR HELLO & USHERS TEAM

Facilitator:

Marlo Asencio

Class Description

In order to have a right relationship with the Holy Spirit, we have to be biblically and theologically grounded.

In this course, we will learn the fundamental basics about the Holy Spirit from the Scripture. We’ll cover topics like the Trinity, the personhood of the Holy Spirit, the names of the Holy Spirit, the symbols of the Holy Spirit, the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, as well as the outpouring of the Holy Spirit. We’ll also take a closer look at the ways the Holy Spirit helps believers in their walk with Christ, and we’ll learn what it means to sin against the Holy Spirit.

Join us for this eight-session Vlad Savchuk study. Whether you’re a seasoned believer or you’re newer to faith in Jesus Christ, you’ll find this course is more than an introduction! *Source credit: #vladschool

NOTE: This is an ONLINE CO-ED GROUP for members of the Hello & Ushers Team. If you are interested in this online study and in the Ushers/Hello Team, you are welcome to join. Please contact Marlo Asencio for details.

BEGINS APR 4TH – 7 SESSIONS

COLD-CASE CHRISTIANITY

THURS @ 7PM
CO-ED GROUP

Facilitator:

Amin Sizemore

Class Description

Christianity could be defined as a “cold case.” It makes a claim about an event from the distant past for which there is little forensic evidence. In Cold-Case Christianity, J. Warner Wallace (L.A. County homicide detective and former atheist) uses his nationally recognized skills as a homicide detective to look at the evidence and eyewitnesses behind Christian beliefs. Including gripping stories from his career and the visual techniques he developed in the courtroom, Wallace uses illustration to examine the powerful evidence that validates the claims of Christianity. A unique apologetic that speaks to readers’ intense interest in detective stories, Cold-Case Christianity inspires readers to have confidence in Christ as it prepares them to articulate the case for Christianity.

NOTE: This is a CO-ED GROUP that meets in person at 7PM on the church campus.

BEGINS APR 4TH – 8 SESSIONS

DEPENDING ON JESUS

THURS @ 7PM
CO-ED GROUP

Facilitator:

Stan Daniels

Class Description

As believers, we know we have to depend on Jesus for many things: for salvation, for guidance, for forgiveness, for daily needs. But to depend on Christ for everything? Excluding nothing? It’s a scary – but also a profoundly biblical – idea. In this study, we’ll explore instances of biblical people learning that they could rely on Christ to see them through, even when all other avenues of help failed. They encountered every kind of obstacle: hostility, loneliness, injustice, failure, and other seemingly impossible difficulties. Just as they discovered that Christ is sufficient for any and all circumstances, we will be encouraged to discover the same.

NOTE: This is a CO-ED GROUP that meets in person at 7PM on the church campus.

BEGINS APR 4TH – 7 SESSIONS

SOUL CARE

THURS @ 7PM
WOMEN’S GROUP

Facilitator:

Ewelina An

Class Description

Brokenness grasps for the soul of humanity. We are broken body, soul, and spirit, and we need the healing touch of Jesus. Soul Care explores seven principles that are profound healing tools of God: securing your identity, repentance, breaking family sin patterns, forgiving others, healing wounds, overcoming fears, and deliverance. These principles, when packaged together and lived out, can lead to lasting transformation, freedom, and a healthy soul.

NOTE: This is a WOMEN’S GROUP that meets in person at 7PM on the church campus. *This group will close after the first session.*

EL DIOS QUE NUNCA CONOCÍ

VIERNES @ 7PM

GRUPO CO-ED

Facilitadores:

Moises Alvarado & Luis Marrero

Class Description

Did you know you can have the same relationship with the Holy Spirit that the apostles had with Jesus?

In RELATIONSHIP WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT, we’ll learn about the Holy Spirit as a person, and we’ll be challenged to consider our relationship with Him. Are we a foe? Are we frozen in our relationship with Him. Are we a fan? Or have we become a friend of the Holy Spirit?

In this eight-session Vlad Savchuk study, we’ll learn about the three dimensions of a relationship with the Holy Spirit and how to cultivate a relationship and walk with the Holy Spirit that is authentic and truly intimate! *Source credit: #vladschool

NOTE: This is a CO-ED GROUP that meets in person at 7PM on the church campus. KIDS CLUBS and REACH YOUTH are available during this study night!
