WHAT ARE REACH GROUPS?  REACH GROUPS are small groups of people doing life together by meeting weekly over the course of a semester. They last about 60-90 minutes and meet on various days & times. They can meet on the church campus, in a home, at a diner – the possibilities are endless! We also have an online prayer group that meets through the ZOOM video conference platform. REACH GROUPS provide an opportunity to go deeper – living and learning gospel truth.

REACH CHURCH offers many opportunities to connect with others throughout the week and build relationships. We’re meant to navigate life together!

DO I NEED TO PURCHASE A BOOK? Book purchases are recommended for some REACH GROUPS, but they are not required. Participants can purchase a class book by following the links provided on our website. These links are provided as a courtesy and are only suggestions, as you may find more cost-effective resources on your own.

FREEDOM IN CHRIST

WED @ 10AM
WOMEN’S GROUP

Facilitator:

Tarsha Gibbons

Class Description

Receiving Christ is no guarantee that you won’t have conflicts in your life. Personal and spiritual problems will still crop up. Condemning thoughts, compulsive behaviors, personal conflicts, spiritual struggles, and despair–and all types of personal and spiritual bondage–can lay claim to your life.

However, you can overcome them all and reclaim the promise of freedom that Christ offers to all who come in His name. As a child of God, you can resolve your conflicts, break free from bondage, renew your mind, and experience daily victory in every aspect of your life.

CULTURE SHOCK

WED @ 7PM
CO-ED GROUP

Facilitator:

Noelle Harrison

Class Description

Where do you stand on issues like truth, sex, homosexuality, abortion, the environment, the church, and politics? More importantly, what does God say?

If there was ever a time for Christians to understand and communicate God’s truth about controversial and polarizing issues, it is now. Believers must develop convictions based on biblical truth–and be able (and willing) to communicate these convictions with a love and respect that reflects God’s own heart.

CULTURE SHOCK is a 12-session Bible Study where we’ll learn how to respond biblically to today’s divisive issues.

NOTE: This is a CO-ED GROUP that meets in person at 7PM on the church campus. REACH KIDS for children in K thru 5th grade is available during this study night!

FIGHT YOUR WAY TO A BETTER MARRIAGE

WED @ 7PM
MARRIAGE GROUP

Facilitators:

Manny & Nelddie Badillo

Class Description

Typical marital arguments include money, sex, and kids. What if conflict in marriage could be a good thing? In this counterintuitive 6-session study, marriage experts Dr. Greg and Erin Smalley support that fighting is actually healthy for a marriage.

When couples fight, they have the opportunity to get to the real issue that is lurking below the surface. Therefore, if handled well, arguments have the potential to create greater understanding, trust, and connection within a couple’s relationship.

FIGHT YOUR WAY TO A BETTER MARRIAGE is a great study to help married couples turn their everyday conflicts into opportunities for satisfaction.

NOTE: This is a CO-ED GROUP for married couples that meets in person at 7PM on the church campus. REACH KIDS for children in K thru 5th grade is available during this study night!

Why her?

How many times have you asked yourself that question? How many times have you felt like you couldn’t measure up no matter how hard you tried?

We’ve all been there.

In this six-session women’s study, uncover truths you need to arm yourself with when combatting comparison by studying the biblical account of Rachel & Leah. Learn to be content without becoming complacent and discover godly wisdom to quiet the incessant Why Her? question in your head. Develop greater awareness of your insecurities and learn to stop the lies in their tracks. Because the truth will set you free, and free women don’t have to measure up to anyone. Not even her.

Together, we will:
• Discover what the Bible says about God, Rachel, Leah, and Jacob, and how He used flawed people for His kingdom.

DEFENDING THE FAITH

THURS @ 7PM
CO-ED GROUP

Facilitator:

Amin Sizemore

Class Description

(Christian Apologetics)

Amid the crisis of authority in our modern and postmodern era, Christians need to be able to point to God’s revelation in the natural world in addition to defending God’s unique revelation in the Bible and in the person of Jesus Christ.

Classical apologetics takes a two-step approach to commending the Christian picture of reality. First, arguments for the existence of God, such as those of natural theology, are employed to create common ground with people outside the household of the Christian faith and to provide intellectual support for Christians. Second, classical apologetics defends key items of Christian revelation, including the reliability of the Bible, the identity of the historical Jesus, and the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.

In this 12-session DEFENDING THE FAITH study, participants will be introduced to classical apologetics and to innovative defenses of natural theology.

NOTE: This is a CO-ED GROUP that meets in person at 7PM on the church campus.

FORGIVING WHAT YOU CAN’T FORGET

THURS @ 7PM
WOMEN’S GROUP

Facilitator:

Idalia Aguero

Class Description

When we’ve experienced hurt upon hurt or our hearts have been completely shattered, offering forgiveness can feel unrealistic. However, when we refuse to let God’s forgiveness flow through us, it becomes a heavy weight that can cause anxiety, fear, depression and all types of frustrations. Forgiveness is a complicated grace that uncomplicates a hurting, angry heart and helps us see beautiful again.

Whether it’s a marriage, a family relationship, a broken friendship, an injustice or a devastating loss, lingering unforgiveness in even the smallest crevices of our hearts can produce roots of resentment and bitterness and keep us from laying hold of the freedom Christ laid hold of for us!

Ladies, let’s pull up a chair, grab a cup of tea and learn to forgive what we can’t forget.

NOTE: This is a WOMEN’S GROUP that meets in person at 7PM on the church campus.

EXPERIENCING GOD

FRI @ 7PM

CO-ED GROUP

Facilitators:

Alexis & Yvonne Bronstorph

Class Description

Did you know that if you have received Jesus as your Lord and Savior, you have someone living inside you who knows everything?

The Holy Spirit can be misinterpreted as confusing, controversial, and weird. People often see the Holy Spirit as an “it” and don’t believe Him to be a person who can be understood and welcomed. The Holy Spirit wants to have a relationship with you. He has committed Himself to be your teacher, comforter, and guide.

God has invited us to experience Him in an intimate love relationship through which He reveals to us His will, His ways, and His work. This study is for those who wish to take their relationship with God to a deeper level.

We will learn how to:
– Know when God is speaking to us
– Recognize God’s activity around us
– Adjust our lives to God and His ways
– Identify what God wants to do through us
– Respond to God’s activity in our lives
– Understand the importance of God’s timing

When we recognize where God is working, we can join Him in what He is doing. Then we will experience God doing through us what only He can do.

NOTE: This is a CO-ED GROUP that meets in person at 7PM on the church campus. REACH YOUTH for students in 6th thru 12th grade is available during this study night!
